A social enterprise to help improve education outcomes through data and AI
ABOUT
Who We Are
Children and young adults only get one shot at formative education as their cognitive and emotional growth is at its most critical stage. Far too many are not achieving their full potential and the education ecosystem can, and should, do more. Our understanding of the child is paramount, to identify risks and help define equitable interventions to enable all to succeed, regardless of background.

As a 'not-for-private-profit' we are setting out to address this challenge ahead of shareholder returns. By democratising education data and AI we put information in the hands of experienced practitioners to help them make the best possible decisions to raise standards.
We are committed to the principles of Responsible AI, and align to the goals of Open Education Analytics through open source software, and a consulting service led approach.
DATA ORCHESTRATION
Your data is in silos. We bridge systems to join data together in your own data lake so you can make sense of the SIS/MIS alongside safeguarding, assessment, finance, HR. In short, anything you need that you have access to.
STORY TELLING
Having good quality data available is only one part of the picture. We need to convey the meaning of this data in order to derive some actionable insight. Effective communication, through visualisation and language is paramount.
PREDICTIVE MODELS
The 'rear view mirror' of education data is common - we describe the things that have happened. We are now building the models to predict what is likely to happen in the future, and then importantly, what we might do about it to improve outcomes.
CASE STUDIES
What does this look like? Real world examples
Xporter OEA Module
As part of Community Brands, we built the UK's first Microsoft Open Education Analytics module - for Xporter. This means that Xporter partners, including Trusts themselves, have an open source route to start to aggregate MIS data into their own data lakes and build Power BI reports for all stakeholders.
Greenwood Academies Trust
Using the Microsoft Open Education Analytics framework and data from the MIS and CPOMS we are building an ethical safeguarding model to help practitioners identify students at risk. Following practice set out by the contextual safeguarding approach many factors of the student, home, peers, school and the neighbourhood are considered.
Ministry of Education, Malta
Designed to support the ten year education strategy we delivered a two-day workshop on the 'art of the possible' in education analytics followed by a four week rapid MVP. Engaging all stakeholders across education and IT, the Ministry was able to define the requirements for a national procurement to provide decision support at country scale.
